WOW What a weekend!

Friday night David and I had date night. We went and saw Push. I thought it was pretty good. David enjoyed it as well. Sat monring I got up and went over to my Mom's. Her secretary brought over some mints that she wanted me to taste. She is making them for the wedding. Oh my gosh are they SO good! She also brought over some different frostings for me to taste to figure out what I wanted on my cake.

We headed to the Monument Cafe in Georgetown for lunch. It was very good and very busy! I highly recomend it.

After lunch we met up with my wedding cordinator Lori. SHE IS AMAZING. LOVED LOVED LOVED HER! She asked about everything. Lots of things I hadn't even thought about. She was listening to everything I was saying and actually talked me into changing our reception location. The new place is GORGEOUS! It has a built in dance floor and oh my gosh I can't wait for everyone to see it. Lori is amazing she figured out how to include a country feel into an elegant wedding and reception. She is well worth her money! :) (I'll post pictures soon...the site crashed in the middle of my blog posting)
After meeting with Lori and looking at the new reception location my Mom and I headed up to Waco. Paul was a table leader at the Walk to Emmaus this weekend. We went up for candlelight. We first stopped and had dinner with my Aunt and Uncle. I always enjoy spending time with them. We laugh constatnlty. We ate at Casa Ole, pretty good Mexican food I must say.

We then headed out the camp grounds for the candelight service. I have not been to one since I was in High School. It was great and moving to see these grown men cry like babies at the out pooring of love from the community. Mom and I got back to Round Rock at about midnight. I was super tired and went straight to bed.

Sunday I spent the whole day spring cleaning. Dusting mopping vaccuming all the good stuff. I then pulled out all of the Christmas decorations and started decorating the house. The kiddo's will be here in 2 weeks and we are having our Christmas with them since we didn't get to see them at Christmas this year. We are doing it up right. Christmas tree decorations and good ol Christmas dinner. It tooke me till 10pm last night but I finally got it done! :) Logged onto Xbox and played a few games of COD4 with my xbox buddies! :)

All in all it was a good weekend. It went buy so fast!

David's Shingles

Man has it been a crazy week last week! Monday David starting breaking out in this rash above his eye. In a matter of 2 hours it spread and started swelling pretty bad so we went to the Dr. The Dr told us it was just a skin infection and put him antibiotics. Poor thing looked horrible. He started the Antibiotics Monday and by Wed his eye was swollen shut and the rash had spread to his scalp and below his eye. He looked like he was in a fight and lost. He told me to let the antibiotics work one more day and if was still spreading on Thursday he would go to the Dr.

At this point I was extremely worried about his eye. The white part of his eye was blood red. I finally talked him into letting me take him to the ER. The ER Dr came in and took one look at his eye and told us he had shingles. They checked out his eye because it was in his eye and could do damage and he could lose his vision. The antibiotics that the Dr put him on Monday did nothing for his shingles. The Dr put him on Valtrex and an antibiotic cream for his eye to keep infection out of his eye. They said David needed to follow up with his primary and get to an eye specialist ASAP.

Fri we went and saw his primary. He said it looked like David was getting an infection on top of the shingles. (GREAT) He put him on another antibiotic and told him to follow up with him on Monday. We also saw the eye specialist on Fri. She said his retnea and cornea looked fine but the white part of his eye was inflamed. She told him to stay on all the medicine and to follow up with him in a week. If things got worse to call her right away.

Today he finally looks like himself again. He has a few scabs around his eye where the shingles were draining but all the swelling is gone. He hasn't been able to work since Tuesday because shingles is HIGHLY contagious. Hopefully he will get released today and he can be back to work tomorrow. Poor guys is on 8 different medicines and the cream for his eye which I have to put in every 6 hours. He wouldn't let me take a picture to show how bad he was or else I would of.

Please keep him in your prayers because they are now trying to figure out what caused his shingles.

Valentine's and Fills

Well Thursday I had my second fill. I did not gain an once nor did I lose an once from my previous appt. (Girl Scout cookies and my lack of control is probably what caused the no weight loss). She put in another 2 CC's and man let me tell you that did the trick. I can REALLY tell a difference when eating. I get full quick. It's great. I have lost 4lbs since the fill on Thursday. It's great to see the scale moving down again. I'm sure having GS cookies out of the house doesn't hurt either! :)

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Valentine's Day. Mine was ehh ok...David is/was sick (see shingle's blog) so I went with my Dad down to San Antonio. His cousin came in from FL and he wanted to see her. My dad still can't really drive long distances since he is in too much pain. He needs someone to drive him around. We had a good time in SA though. Saw my grandparents and went and ate lunch at Texas Road House YUMMY!!! The wait wasn't all that bad either about 20 mins for a table for 7.
Dad and I left super early so David and I didn't get to exchange presents. I was super excited to get home and see what he got me. He did good this year! He got me a dozen red roses, a cute UT purse and the open hearts necklace from Kay Jewlers.

I got David Fallout 3 for his 360, 3 UT shirts that he has been wanting and some candy. We enjoyed spending the night together when I got home from SA. All in All it was a good day.
