I told you I would post pictures of my wedding dress. Here ya go! The dress is snug b/c we ordered it a size smaller...then i got even heavier...so the dress will fit ALOT better. I will post more pics in March when I go to order the dress again in the correct size! :) My flowergirls will be wearing the same dress just smaller and in Pink. Our colors are black and pink.

Weightloss/Wedding #2
Well lets start off with the weight loss.
I previously mentioned that the dr wanted me to lose 15lbs before my surgery. I can say I have hit that mark! WOOHOO! I have lost 16lbs now since my last visit with her. All together I am now at 21lbs down! I still have 2 more weeks of the preop diet. Hopefully I can lose another 10lbs these next 2 weeks. I am going to start walking every night for about an hour to help lose some more weight. It's really coming off slow these last 2 weeks but my monthly friend was here and I had been sick. I think that messed up the scales a little bit. I really hope I do not wake up from the sugery with no band. I am so afraid of that happening. If my liver is too large she will not be able to place the band. I would have to wait a few more months and lose more weight. The only problem with that is I will have a new insurance kicking in January 1st. So I would have to go through getting approved all over again.
I have read that some dr's will fully open you up to place the band. (they would make one large 4-5 inch incision to place the band). I think I am going to schedule another apointment with my dr and discuss this option with her. I guess I need to call and make that appointment today. I dont know I might just hold off. I guess it really depends on how much I lose this week. If I loose another 3lbs by Fri I think I will be ok. I'm having a hard time now getting in my protein. I wonder if that has something to do with it. I guess I need to get back on my shakes and stuff to make sure I get my full 70g in a day. I guess enough about the weight loss I will try to update again Fri or Sat with how much I've lost this week.
The wedding:
I went to my mom's this weekend and made the "mock" invitations with the samples I recieved. I really LOVE the invitation. It's so cute. I can't wait to make the real ones and get them sent out. My mom really seemed to enjoy spending the day with me. It was non stop wedding talk.
We were talking about what type of wedding cake I wanted. I told her I just wanted some thing very simple. (kinda like me) I wanted a white frosting cake with a pink ribon around the bottom of it. Something like this:
My mom use to make amazing birthday cakes for my sister and I when we were little. I asked my mom if she thought she could make my wedding cake. She started to tear up and asked me if I really wanted her to make my cake. I said of course I do..it would be super neat to be able to tell everyone my mom made my cake. My grandmother made her cake when she got married. Why not continue the family tradition right? Hopefully I will be able to make my daughters cake if she would like. Not to mention my mom making the cake saves me about $500.
Anyways I will post some pictures of the wedding invitations soon. I keep forgetting to take pictures of them.

Where to begin
So I guess I can blog about the 2 biggest things in my life right now.
1) Planning my wedding
2) My lapband journey
I will start with the Wedding.
I am getting married Aug 1, 2009 it's 8 months away and I am already freaking out a little bit. I'm trying to wrap my head around the budget David (my fiance') and I have set. Wedding's are expensive. I know they don't have to be but I really want it a certain way. We have decided on the church and reception location. Everything is pretty much planned out just need to pay for it all..I have my wedding dress it's already paid for. (I will post some pics soon promise) Have my veil and tiara; flowers; photographer; invitations and all that jazz.
We are making our own invitations (so much cheaper then buying them). I orderd some samples of the paper and vellum we will use today. They should be here next week. I am so excited to make some "mock" invitations and see how they turn out. I will take some pictures and post them up here for everyone to see.
Ok enough about the wedding moving on to the weight loss journey.
I have been obese from the age of 6 on. I was still very athletic and into sports when I was younger but I guess I just loved stuffing my face. A lady here at work had the lapband done 2 years go and she looks AMAZING. I started reaserching into it about the time she had surgery done. I researched and researched but really didn't care about it. I was me and people should love me and accept me the way I am.
Then I meet David. He changed everything...he doesn't even know he did. I fell in love and wanted to marry this guy. He was going to be my family and I wanted to raise a family with this man. I know I couldn't get pregnant at my current weight. So it was set...I was going to see the dr to see about the lap band. We want children and I am willing to do whatever it takes to do it.
Dr told me I was prime candidate, I was young and healthy (except for my weight). We started all the preop testing. I had to get a psy eval done (this was not fun) but I passed with flying colors. Also had to get blood work and an EKG both tured out normal except for the liver function was a little elevated. I also had to have an excercise consult and a nutritional consult. I had my final appt with my surgeon to set my surgery date. She asked me to start my preop diet that day because of my liver function. I will be on the diet for 5 weeks.
Week 1 of the preop diet is over. I weighed my self this morning and I am down 9lbs. She wanted me to lose 15 before surgery so I only have another 6 left for her standards. My standards on the other hand are set alot higher. I want to lose 30-40lbs in these 5 weeks before my surgery. I am well on my way.
Well I guess I should close for now. I know i'm rambling. Check back in a few days for more updates.
